Role overview
We are seeking an experienced Jewelry CAD Artist with strong Rhino expertise to join our design team on a contract basis. This fully remote position (open to candidates in Goa) focuses on developing and improving 3D jewelry modeling tools, creating accurate reference models, and ensuring AI‑generated designs meet real‑world manufacturing standards. The role blends creative CAD modeling with meticulous quality‑review, component segmentation, and manufacturing validation.
Jewelry CAD Modeling
Create and clean parametric jewelry models in Rhino.
Develop accurate reference/ground‑truth models for rings, pendants, earrings, and other components.
Build models as properly structured component assemblies (shanks, heads, prongs, bezels, galleries, halos, bails, stone settings, etc.).
Ensure all geometry is clean, consistent, and production‑ready.
AI‑Generated Model Review & Correction
Review 3D jewelry models produced by AI/automated systems.
Identify and correct modeling errors, missing components, and incorrect geometry.
Validate that AI outputs accurately represent the intended design and component hierarchy.
Component Segmentation & Annotation
Define, label, and separate individual jewelry components within 3D models.
Apply a consistent naming and classification system across all models.
Correct inaccurate AI segmentations and maintain high annotation consistency.
Manufacturing & Quality Validation
Assess models for manufacturability and production feasibility.
Spot issues related to prong placement, stone settings, wall thickness, shank profiles, component connections, structural integrity, and casting feasibility.
Leverage real‑world jewelry manufacturing knowledge to flag designs that are not viable for casting.
File Preparation
Prepare and export models in OBJ, STL, and GLB formats.
Ensure separate components are properly named and organized for downstream 3D/AI workflows.
Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in jewelry CAD modeling.
Strong proficiency in Rhinoceros (Rhino).
Demonstrated experience creating jewelry models that have progressed through casting or actual production.
Deep understanding of jewelry construction and manufacturing, including prong, bezel, halo settings, calibrated stone sizes, shank profiles, ring heads, galleries, and bails.
Ability to produce clean, accurate, production‑ready 3D models and export OBJ, STL, or GLB files.
Excellent attention to detail, consistency, and the capacity to perform repetitive model‑review, segmentation, and labeling tasks accurately.
Good grasp of dimensional accuracy and manufacturability.
Experience with additional jewelry CAD tools such as MatrixGold, RhinoGold, 3Design, or AutoCAD.
Background in AI/ML annotation, data‑labeling, or computer‑vision projects.
Strong analytical mindset and a methodical, detail‑oriented work style.
This is a contract role, fully remote, with a focus on candidates located in Goa, India. Compensation will be discussed based on experience, portfolio quality, and manufacturing expertise.
Portfolio showcasing Rhino jewelry CAD work.
Brief summary of 2+ years of relevant experience.
Details of experience with actual jewelry casting/production.
List of CAD software used (Rhino, MatrixGold, RhinoGold, 3Design, AutoCAD, etc.).
Any relevant experience with 3D annotation, AI/ML, or data‑labeling projects.
Expected monthly contract compensation.
Availability / notice period.
Applicants will be asked to answer a series of role‑specific questions (e.g., experience with casting‑ready Rhino models, component‑segmentation approach, AI model correction strategy, etc.) to help us assess fit.
